Washington, D.C. - Affordable Skies announced today that Mark Guiod has been appointed Vice President of its Board of Directors.
Guiod brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across the U.S. military, federal government, and private sector. His background spans aviation operations, strategic planning, labor relations, technology development, and organizational performance, experience that closely aligns with Affordable Skies’ mission to ensure travelers are represented in aviation policy and industry decisions.
Most recently, Guiod founded MVPStrategic, LLC, where he advises organizations on long-term planning and performance improvement. He previously served in senior leadership roles at Lumark Technologies and Saab, Inc., and held multiple leadership positions within the Federal Aviation Administration. His career also includes service in the U.S. Army, including an assignment at the Pentagon.
“Mark brings deep aviation knowledge and a practical understanding of how decisions are made across government and industry,” said Jennifer C Rykaczewski, President of Affordable Skies. “His experience and perspective are invaluable as we continue to advocate effectively for travelers.”
A licensed pilot since the age of 19, Guiod’s connection to aviation began early. He started flying at 12 and soloed at 16. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he has spent his career working at the intersection of aviation, leadership, and public service.
As Vice President of the Board, Guiod will support Affordable Skies’ strategic direction as the organization continues to expand its research, partnerships, and engagement on behalf of air travelers nationwide.
