“You are entitled to a refund for your canceled flight” - The Points Guy

Under U.S. DOT rules, travelers are entitled to a full refund, no questions asked, if their flight is canceled, significantly delayed (3+ hours domestic, 6+ hours international), or has a significant schedule change and they choose not to travel. Refunds are due within 7 days for credit-card purchases or 20 days for other payment methods. Travelers are not obligated to accept vouchers or airline miles instead.
