The Aerospace Industries Association, including companies like Boeing, Airbus, RTX, and GE, has urged the U.S. Commerce Department to delay any new Section 232 tariffs on imported commercial aircraft, jet engines, and parts. They warn that proceeding without additional consultation could threaten aviation safety and disrupt the supply chain. The group also requested a 90-day extension for public comments and a 180-day pause on implementation
