Spirit Airlines has appointed Dave Davis, formerly president and CFO at Sun Country Airlines and previously finance chief at Northwest Airlines, as its new CEO, effective April 21, 2025. His appointment comes as Spirit emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company is also bolstering its leadership team with airline veterans such as Trey Urbahn (commercial strategy) and Duncan Dee (communications) to support its strategic transformation away from an ultra‑low‑cost model.
